Job Description
Rusty Star Ranch, a small-scale regenerative farm committed to sustainable agriculture and animal welfare, is seeking a Goat Milking Tech
Evening shift starts at 7pm and takes 4 to 6 hrs
Morning Shift starts at 8am and takes 4 to 6 hrs
Will train you to milk and use milk machine
Key Responsibilities:
Milk herd of 40 to 60 goats
Clean up room and milking equip
Identify sick animals and collaborate with the owner on health plans.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with livestock, preferably goats.
Valid driver’s license.
over 18 years old
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including weekends and holidays.
Desired Skills & Qualities:
Passionate about animals
Highly systematic and organized, with the ability to plan ahead and anticipate needs.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proactive and independent, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Open to learning new things and adapting to a fast-paced, ever-changing farm environment.
Possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and good observation skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly. Starting pay based on experience.
W2 with direct deposit
