*About us:*
We are a family-run agritourism business based out of our home and located in the Goldstream Valley, northwest of Fairbanks, AK. We offer 2-2.5-hour walking, natural history tours with our reindeer to visitors from all over the world. We also have a demonstration vegetable garden and community activities, including Yoga with Reindeer. We are looking for a positive, personable, professional tour guide and support person to help out with the tours and other operations around our farm and property.
*Duties*:
Maintains a safe, clean and healthy work environment.
Conducts natural history, walking tour
Create a quality customer experience
Tour preparation, and clean-up
Feed, water, clean up after and general care of reindeer, and dog
Training reindeer
Garden, lawn care, snow removal, light housekeeping, maintenance, etc.
Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications:*
Excellent customer service
Excellent public speaking skills and ability to project voice in an outdoor environment
Ability to engage comfortably with individuals and groups
Positive attitude and demeanor
Not afraid to assert yourself with bossy reindeer
Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Team Player
*Other: *
No tobacco users. Tattoos should be concealed when guests are present. Must be willing to work and able to dress for work outside in any weather (we had tours at -50F) . Must be in excellent physical shape and able to walk uphill and perform hard physical labor.
*Hours: *
Part time, year-round, permanent position. Hours vary depending on day and season but will include weekends and evenings on occasion. Typically, 20-40 hours a week depending on the season.
*Pay:*
$17-$20/hour, depending on experience, pay raise after probationary period
