*About Us:*
We are a local, strict no-spray strawberry farm producing high-quality day-neutral strawberries for premium regional markets. We are seeking energetic, reliable farm hands to join our harvest crew immediately for fast-paced picking runs.
*Shift Schedule & Hours:*
* *Immediate Start – August 25:* Morning shifts (Harvest days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday; exact morning start times confirmed upon hire).
* *Starting August 26 – End of Season (October):* Shifts transition permanently to late afternoon: *Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM* (1–2 hours per shift, ~3–6 hours/week).
*Pay Rate:*
* *$15.00 – $18.00 per hour* (commensurate with experience and picking efficiency)
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Carefully hand-harvest ripe strawberries according to size, color, and strict quality standards.
* Gently pack fruit directly into clamshell containers and harvest flats in the field.
* Stage harvested flats in shaded field staging areas to preserve fruit quality.
* Identify and discard non-viable or damaged fruit to maintain field sanitation.
* Work efficiently outdoors in variable weather conditions.
*Qualifications & Physical Requirements:*
* *Physical Stamina:* Must be comfortable bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for up to 2 hours continuously.
* *Hand-Eye Coordination:* Ability to handle delicate soft fruit quickly without bruising or damaging the berries/plants.
* *Punctuality & Reliability:* Must have reliable transportation and strict adherence to scheduled start times so harvest runs finish on time.
* *Attention to Detail:* Ability to spot ripe fruit quickly under dense leaf canopies and follow basic farm safety/sanitation guidelines.
* *Experience:* Prior experience in farm work, landscaping, gardening, or fast-paced manual labor is a plus, but we are happy to train motivated, reliable candidates!
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
