Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour (Seasonal ; 40 hours per week)

Work season: from April to October 2026

J*ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY -Job Summary*

The will be reporting to both Betzabet Valdez and Marcela Quiroz. Their time will be evenly distributed between Agronomy projects and Strawberry Tabletop ranch activities. There will be opportunities to learn about the production of rubus by supporting the learning of new commercial varieties (in field data collections) and performing regular sampling at multiple farms (irrigation, soil, tissue, pathogenic plant material). Working at the strawberry tabletop ranch will consist of agronomic field data collection (fruit and water sampling and tracking of operational activities) as well as development of production reporting.

*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

Walk fields with Agronomist to evaluate on farm trials (OFT), collect drip and drain samples from fields, gather samples from irrigators, prepare material for sampling, and soil sample as requested. Conduct leaf area index measurements monthly, assist in bloom counts for forecasting purposes, and scout for pest pressures.

Assist in the entry of pesticide application data (PURs).

Collect cane measurements on OFT’s, nursery material, current varieties, and enter in database.

Collect in field data relevant to agronomic practices, submit samples to QA, and gather production measurements (ex: leaf area index (LAI), basket counts, cull analysis, forecast).

Assist in general data entry and organization of documentations for strawberry tabletop ranch.

It will be important to locate and drive to multiple ranches for sampling and field check purposes.

Professional experience:

· 2+ years in agriculture

· OR obtaining an education in Agriculture

Areas of experience:

· Experience in plant health (identification of pests and basic understanding of plant nutrition)

· Soft Skills

· Entry level experience in excel or data entry

Foreign Language: Spanish
