Hunter Hills Sport Horses is in search of their next Farm Manager. This is a well-paid, salary position with opportunities for bonuses and great scheduling perks. Hunter Hills is located at Sandy Hill Farm which is a lovely heated facility with great amenities for staff. We have a very casual and friendly atmosphere with clients that are friendly and helpful. Horse care is something very important to us! We currently have 15 horses in stalls and one living outside. This is a full care facility where each horse has individual needs that are met on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who is hard working, detail oriented, organized and dependable.
Duties include:
· Farm maintenance – Tractor/high-low experience is preferred but not required
· Cleaning/bedding stalls
· Feeding horses
· Turning out and bringing in horses
· Scheduling/hiring staff
· Scheduling grain and shavings orders
· Receiving orders
· Stacking hay when hay orders come in
· Maintaining horse care
· Treating small wounds/looking out for sick horses
· Holding horses for the farrier, vet, dentist etc.
Schedule is typically Monday-Saturdays but this can be flexible depending on how you schedule your staff.
