We are seeking a motivated and dependable driver to deliver gravel and farm aggregate locally. *Duties*

* Safely operate trucks equipped for hauling gravel, farm aggregate, and other construction materials across designated local routes
* Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks, ensuring secure and balanced loads
* Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and other critical components before each journey
* Follow planned delivery routes accurately while adhering to traffic laws and company policies to ensure timely deliveries
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and delivery receipts for each trip
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes
* Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime

*Skills*

* Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or dump trucks
* Strong knowledge of route driving, load securing, and transportation safety regulations
* Ability to operate manual transmission trucks efficiently
* Experience with specialized equipment including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, forklifts, or roll-off trucks is a plus
* Skilled in load & unload procedures for freight and construction materials using appropriate tools and safety practices
* Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with local transportation laws
* Physical ability to lift heavy loads when necessary and perform routine vehicle inspections
