*CULTIVATION TECHNICIAN*
*Location: Las Vegas, NV | On-site, Monday to Friday *
Reporting to the Plant Biologist, the Cultivation Technician plays a key role in executing day-to-day cultivation activities within our Las Vegas vertical farming facility.
This role supports both production and research initiatives by maintaining optimal growing conditions, assisting with trials, and ensuring consistent crop quality. You’ll work closely with our Innovation and Farm Operations teams to deliver reliable production outcomes while contributing to continuous improvement across our growing systems.
*Key Responsibilities*
Crop Management
* Execute crop production activities in line with established recipes and protocols
Data Collection & Reporting
* Collect and record data on plant growth, environmental conditions, and yields
* Maintain accurate and timely records of crop performance and trial activities
* Support basic data interpretation and communicate observations to the Plant Biologist
* Ensure data integrity within digital farm management systems
Collaboration
* Work closely with Innovation and Farm Operations teams to support trials and production goals
* Provide feedback on crop performance and recipe execution
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay current on indoor farming practices
* Support Quality & Food Safety systems, including product testing, shelf-life assessments, and daily validation checks
* Assist in maintaining operational continuity during the absence of senior team members
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
* Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of cultivation equipment (e.g., dosing systems, sensors, cameras)
* Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate when required
* Maintain clean, organized growing areas in line with food safety and HACCP standards
* Keep accurate maintenance and calibration records
* Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, lighting, CO₂)
* Support the implementation and validation of new crop recipes and trials
* Identify and report plant health issues or deviations in growth
*Required Qualities*
* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on consistency and quality
* Hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving
* Ability to follow processes while adapting in a fast-paced environment
* Strong time management and prioritization skills
* Clear communication and ability to collaborate across teams
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed
*Qualifications & Experience*
* Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related field (preferred but not required)
* Experience in controlled environment agriculture, greenhouse, or vertical farming (advantageous)
* Familiarity with environmental monitoring systems or automation is a plus
* Comfortable using computers and digital systems to monitor and control operations
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
