We are seeking a motivated and experienced Excavator’s Laborer (Top Man +) to join our dynamic construction team. This vital role involves working on a pipe installation crew, assisting with excavation tasks, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site. As a key team member, you will coordinate with operators and other crew members to execute construction projects smoothly, focusing on water main installation, excavation, grading, and site preparation. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience will drive project success while maintaining a safe work environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Serve as the top man for pipe installation operations, guiding the operator and coordinating movements for precise digging, lifting, and placement of materials.
* Assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as, loaders, excavators, backhoes, skid loaders, dump trucks, and other machinery to support various construction activities.
* Conduct safety checks on equipment before use and ensure all operations comply with safety standards and protocols.
* Help in the setup and breakdown of construction sites by managing tools, materials, and machinery efficiently.
* Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during construction activities.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
*Experience*
* Hands-on experience in construction environments demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills is essential.
* Knowledge of construction procedures including site preparation, pipe installation, grading techniques, and equipment handling will set you apart.
