Job Description

We seek energetic team members who are eager to learn about farming, passionate about local clean food, and enjoy working outdoors. This is an entry-level position with room to grow for results-oriented people who show initiative and capability. Experience with horticulture and/or agriculture is a plus but not required, as we will train on-the-job.

Our operation produces a diverse mix of approximately 15 types of vegetables and fruits on an intensively cropped 15-acre family farm in California’s North Central Valley (Zone 9b). We aim to grow clean, nutrient-dense food through ecologically sound farming practices that regenerate soil. We serve three local farmer’s markets, grocery stores and restaurants.

The Farm Associate will have the opportunity to work in all aspects of the operation, including seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, making orders, going to market, irrigating, and facilities management. Role and pay advancement will follow those who demonstrate reliability, fluency and attention to detail across all these areas.

You must be able to work outside in all seasons (we grow year-round). Summers are hot and dry, winters mildly cold and wet.

Drug and alcohol-free.

Must have valid driver’s license.

We have a small, private on-farm housing unit available for a single person for a limited time. Candidates interested in housing should be prepared to provide rental references.

Salary: $18/hr starting
