Job Description

*Van Eaton Ready Mix originated in 1998 when Mike Van Eaton purchased the first portable ready-mix plant to produce hog slats for his swine equipment business. Due to high demand, the company has expanded to multiple locations and now offers a wide range of durable concrete products for various applications. They currently operate several portable batch plants that can be set up anywhere in the U.S. to accommodate different projects, from driveways to Wind Turbine foundations across the nation.*

*Job Summary:*

To assist the Cattle Manager with daily agricultural operations, including planting, harvesting, caring for livestock and performing various physical tasks in outdoor environments.

*Essential Duties:*

· Plant, fertilize, and harvest crops, ensuring proper care and maintenance throughout the growing season.

· Feed, water, and monitor the health of animals, including cattle, sheep, pigs, and poultry. This may involve administering medications and assisting with births.

· Operate and maintain farm machinery, such as tractors and harvesters and Class B-CDL licensing required vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.

· Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm structures and equipment, including barns, fences, and irrigation systems.

· Maintain accurate records of crop yields, livestock health, and machinery operations to support farm management decisions.

· Ability to follow directions.

· Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

· This is a safety sensitive position.

· Ability to The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

· Prior experience in agriculture, animal care, and machinery operation required.

· Familiarity with modern farming techniques and equipment is advantageous, especially in high-tech agricultural environments.

· Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

· Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

· Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Van Eaton Ready Mix employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.

*Education and/or Experience:*

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

· One to two years of related experience and/or a combination of both.

· CDL-Class B required
