Join our team as a Farm Hand and Equipment Operator, where your expertise will drive the success of our farming operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of farm machinery, cattle, and crop management tasks. You will play a vital part in maintaining the health of our animals, ensuring efficient operation of heavy equipment, and supporting sustainable farming practices. *Duties*
* Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Perform routine equipment repairs, welding, and maintenance using hand tools and power tools to keep machinery in optimal condition.
* Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring for livestock including horses and other farm animals.
* Handle animal care responsibilities with attention to safety and humane treatment, including animal handling and managing breeding or growing programs.
* Conduct general farm maintenance such as fencing repairs, and landscape management using hand tools and small power tools.
* Support growing operations by monitoring crop health, caring for animals and by keeping the grounds clean.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience or skills in a farm or agricultural setting is preferred.
* Mechanical knowledge with experience operating farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, or other heavy equipment.
* Strong animal husbandry skills including animal handling, care routines, and basic veterinary knowledge.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools effectively for maintenance tasks.
* Welding skills or experience with equipment repair are advantageous.
* Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feeding schedules.
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
