Join our cultivation team as a Seasonal Cultivation Field Technician and immerse yourself in the world of outdoor cannabis farming. This role supports crop cultivation and plant care during peak planting and harvest seasons. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring smooth day-to-day field operations, supporting sustainable cultivation practices, and maintaining the highest standards of quality from seed to sale. This seasonal position is perfect for energetic individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in cannabis agriculture in a lively outdoor environment. No prior cannabis experience required — agricultural, landscaping, or general labor experience is a plus, and we will train.
*Duties*
* Assist with laying rows, installing Rain-Flo plastic / drip tape, and connecting drip lines to water storage tanks.
* Hand-plant seed across field beds at high density (~20,000 plants/acre).
* Water, weed, and maintain plants throughout the growing season.
* Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules for plants in outdoor fields.
* Assist with planting, harvesting, and general crop maintenance using hand tools and farm equipment as assigned and trained.
* Monitor plants and report pests, disease, or stress to the supervisor.
* Support two harvests (September and December) — cutting, collecting, and handling plant material.
* Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow strict sanitation and compliance protocols.
*Experience & Requirements*
* Reliable; able to commit to the full season (May 27 – December).
* Growing or general labor experience in crops, horticulture, or agriculture is advantageous (not required — will train).
* Basic math skills for measurements, nutrient calculations, or planting schedules.
* Knowledge of farming practices such as soil preparation is a plus.
* Physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions; able to lift 50+ lbs and repeatedly bend, kneel, squat, and stand for full shifts.
* Proactive attitude toward safety, compliance, and teamwork.
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
* Reliable transportation to a rural worksite (no transportation or housing provided).
*Schedule*
Full-time, seasonal (May 27 – December 2026). Hours may exceed 40/week during peak planting and harvest; overtime paid per NY law.
