*Farm Mechanic*
Tenmile Farm Foundation is seeking a farm mechanic to manage the maintenance and repair of agricultural vehicles and equipment in Dover Plains, New York.
*Responsibilities: *
* Ensure all Tenmile vehicles, tractors and farm equipment are fully operational and in good working order to support the farm’s essential operations
* Conduct routine maintenance and required repair of all Tenmile vehicles, tractors, utility vehicles and farm equipment.
* Maintain inventory of farm equipment, parts and shop tools in proper working condition.
* Oversee the procurement of all parts for farm equipment needing maintenance and repair.
* Keep accurate and up-to-date service and maintenance records.
* Able to use shop tools including various hand tools and power tools.
* Must be physically able to perform repair and maintenance tasks and be able to work outside in all types of weather.
* Support the farm manager to ensure efficient agricultural operations.
* Work cooperatively with members of the farm team and share knowledge of farm equipment.
* Willing to perform other duties as needed, including but not limited to tillage, cultivation, and harvest.
*Qualifications: *
* Comprehensive experience in vehicle and farm equipment diagnostics and repair.
* Ability to complete repairs on a wide variety of farm equipment including trucks and tractors
* Ability to accurately diagnose and complete repairs in an efficient and timely manner.
* Ability to complete projects under difficult conditions or off-hours to complete timely repairs and keep farm production equipment operating.
* Communicate well with all levels of management and be able to provide information for project specifications.
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.
* Ability to handle several tasks at the same time, prioritize workload, and have flexibility as work demands change.
* Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance
* Basic welding and fabrication skills would be a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.50 – $34.00 per hour
