Join our vibrant farm-to-table operation as a Farm to Table Manager, where you will lead the seamless integration of sustainable farming practices with culinary excellence. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to oversee all aspects of farm management, animal husbandry, equipment maintenance, and crop production, ensuring fresh, high-quality ingredients are delivered directly from our fields to our dining tables. *Responsibilities*
* Supervise daily farm operations, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and crop rotation to optimize yield and quality.
* Manage animal husbandry activities such as feeding, health monitoring, breeding programs, and general animal care to ensure ethical treatment and productivity.
* Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment, utilizing welding, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for troubleshooting and repairs.
* Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently to support planting, harvesting, and transportation tasks.
* Implement irrigation systems and greenhouse management techniques to promote healthy plant growth in various environments.
* Lead a team of farm workers by providing supervision, training in animal handling, equipment use, and safety protocols to foster a productive work environment.
* Maintain detailed records of crop cycles, animal health logs, equipment maintenance schedules, and safety inspections.
* Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, animal handling, and farm maintenance.
*Experience*
* Proven supervising experience in agricultural or farm settings with a focus on crop production or livestock management.
* Extensive mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and general maintenance.
* Hands-on experience with animal husbandry practices including feeding routines, health assessments, breeding programs, and humane animal handling.
* Familiarity with farming techniques such as irrigation systems management, greenhouse cultivation, horticulture practices, and growing experience.
* Ability to operate heavy machinery including forklifts and other power tools safely while adhering to safety regulations.
* Knowledge of farming operations involving hand tools and basic math for measurements and calculations.
* Experience with equine care or other specific livestock is a plus but not required; a passion for sustainable agriculture is essential.
