We are seeking a Farm Worker to join our indoor, vertical farm. The ideal candidate will assist in various farm activities, growing micro greens.
This position requires you to be available for 8 hour shift Monday to Thursday, and Sunday for half day, each week.
You must be eligible to work in the United States. Must speak fluent English, and understand basic math and machine operation.
*Duties:*
Seeding micro green trays
Moving seeded trays to germination
Moving trays from germination to light racks
Harvesting, weighing, and packing product accurately while maintaining food safety standards.
Packing cases accurately
Labeling boxes accurately
Post harvest clean up of tables, floor and room
Hose down and sanitize flood trays
Wash & sanitize harvesting machine
Understand and implement plant watering schedule
Learn to correctly use flat filling machine, and fill flats
Use tray washer machine to wash & sanitize trays
Drive for deliveries one day a week
Ensure cleanliness and organization of farm facilities
*Skills:*
-Attention to detail & thoroughness
– Experience in farming practices
– Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
– Mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and repair, if needed
– Knowledge of growing techniques is a plus
– Familiarity with machine operation
