*Duties*
* Safely and efficiently milk dairy animals using manual or automated equipment, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards
* Monitor livestock health and behavior, identifying signs of illness or distress and reporting concerns promptly
* Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, cleaning, and bedding management
* Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting on milking equipment and farm machinery to ensure optimal operation
* Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, or irrigation systems safely and competently when required
* Maintain accurate records of milk production, animal health, and equipment maintenance activities
* Support general farm duties including manual handling tasks, equipment inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
*Requirements*
* Previous farm experience or background in agriculture or farming is highly preferred
* Demonstrated animal care experience, particularly with livestock handling and husbandry practices
* Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance; welding skills are a plus
* Ability to operate agricultural tractors, heavy equipment, forklifts, power tools, and irrigation systems safely
* Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments and adherence to best practices in farm operations
* Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
* Basic math skills for record keeping and inventory management
* Excellent animal handling skills with a focus on livestock management and humane treatment
* Valid certifications or experience in equipment repair, MRO (maintenance, repair & operations), or related fields are advantageous
