*Mini Excavator Operator – Job Description*
We are seeking a dependable *Mini Excavator Operator* to support our underground utility and construction projects. The operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a mini excavator for trenching, backfilling, grading, and site preparation.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate a mini excavator to dig trenches, move earth, and prepare job sites
* Excavate around existing utilities using safe digging practices
* Load and unload materials, assist with backfilling, and restore work areas
* Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
* Read and follow job plans, locates, and supervisor instructions
* Work safely around crews, traffic, and active job sites
* Maintain a clean, organized job site and adhere to all safety guidelines
*Requirements*
* Class A CDL with a clean driving record to receive starting wage of $300.00 per day
* Experience operating a mini excavator; we do not use skid steers
* Understanding of underground utilities and safe excavation practices
* Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
