Pistachio Farm (Co-Manager)

Job Description

Our successful 9-year-old, 2,300-acre pistachio farm is seeking an experienced Co-Manager.

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on manager who excels at challenges, is result oriented with problem solving skills and can oversee daily operations, care for the trees, manage irrigation and lead a team of 15 people. Excellent pay, based on experience with possible housing option.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead, train and oversee a team of 15 people.

• Monitor soil health, water usage and production goals.

• Manage all agricultural operations, from irrigation schedules to fertilizer application and pest control.

• Develop and implement strategies to maximize yield and improve farm practices.

Highlights:

• Strong farming expertise, particularly with management experience, (pistachio operations a plus).

• Knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers, is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with electric motors and drip irrigation systems (underground piping, valves, risers, emitters, couplers) is a plus.

• Tree care knowledge and orchard maintenance, is a plus.

• Mandatory for consideration, is a skilled Leadership background able to manage full-time employees (mowing, spraying, irrigation, airofans).

Including Experience managing temporary crews for projects not limited to (pruning, suckering, weeding, hoeing).

• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish is a plus

• Willingness to live in or near San Simon, Arizona

Compensation:

• Competitive salaries starting from $75,000-$95,000 (depending on experience)

• Housing options available on or near the farm.
