We are looking for two people to join our farm crew for a seasonal position. One position beginning August 31st and running through the week of December 14th. And one position starting September 28th and running through the week of December 7th. Start and end date are somewhat flexible. If it’s a good fit, there is the possibility of this position continuing through mid April. We can discuss this in November.
4 days per week, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday. Hours are 8am-4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Extra produce is available in addition to the hourly wage. Total weekly hours: 32 hrs.
Work will primarily include bulk harvesting, washing, and packing vegetables.
Handy experience is a plus as we also have several small projects to complete in our new building, like installing utility hooks, installing washing equipment, etc.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, solid observation and communication skills, an eagerness to learn, and desire to work efficiently. We try to pair each person with tasks that are suited to them based on natural tendencies, skillsets, and desire of the employee. Employees may work independently, in small groups, or as a full crew depending on the day and the task. We have fun as a crew, but we all like to work hard while producing a meaningful amount of high quality produce for Western Montana.
