Newly hired seasonal associates are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus after the harvest season is completed with acceptable attendance and performance.
*Position Summary:*
A Seasonal Tractor Operator plays a key role in grape harvest operations by operating tractors and harvest equipment to support picking and bin filling in the vineyard. Operators are entrusted with late model tractors and equipment and are expected to operate and maintain them in a safe, professional, and responsible manner at all times. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude and experience operating agricultural machinery in outdoor environments.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Operate late model tractors and harvest equipment professionally and safely to support grape picking and harvest operations.
* Demonstrate exceptional care and respect for company equipment, maintaining cleanliness and reporting any concerns promptly.
* Fill bins in the vineyard using tractor-mounted equipment
* Assist with setup, adjustment, and cleaning of harvesting machinery
* Assist in troubleshooting and repairs on fleet of harvesting machinery
* Perform basic maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
* Work closely with field crews to ensure efficient bin filling and equipment timing
* Follow all safety protocols and field traffic guidelines
* Support general farm tasks as needed during harvest
* Complete other duties as requested by management
*Qualifications:*
* Experience operating tractors or agricultural equipment
* Commitment to operating equipment safely, professionally, and with a high level of care
* Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues preferred
* Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather and terrain
* Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak harvest
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Valid motor vehicle driver’s license
*Physical Requirements:*
* Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
* Comfortable working in cold, hot, dusty, and wet conditions
* Able to sit, stand, and operate machinery for extended periods
*Seasonal Duration:*
* Late-August to Mid-November
* Average 30-60 hours per week
* 4 to 7 day work week
* Day or Night, dependent on harvest schedule
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
