We are seeking a motivated and dependable Farm Hand/Laborer/Operator to join our dynamic agricultural team. This vital role involves hands-on work across various farm operations, including animal care, equipment operation, maintenance, and general farm duties. *Duties*
* Operate agricultural machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support daily farm activities.
* Assist with livestock management, including feeding, watering, health monitoring, and handling animals such as cattle, horses, or poultry.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge.
* Support animal husbandry practices by ensuring proper sheltering, cleaning enclosures, and maintaining animal health standards in accordance with safety regulations.
* Handle manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy loads, planting crops, harvesting produce, and greenhouse work as needed.
* Supervise or assist with farm workers during various projects to ensure safety standards are maintained across all operations.
* Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, equipment repairs, and daily farm operations to ensure smooth workflow.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in farming or agricultural environments with knowledge of crop cultivation and livestock management.
* Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery including tractors, forklifts, and other farm equipment safely.
* Strong mechanical skills with experience in equipment repair, welding, and basic maintenance tasks.
* Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and livestock handling techniques.
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions
* Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to ensure a secure workplace for all team members.
* Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and performing routine maintenance on farm machinery.
* Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping; experience with MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) is advantageous.
* Strong outdoor work ethic with excellent animal handling skills and attention to detail in farm operations.
