Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

*Pay Range: Depends on experience and skill level.*

Responsibilities:
– Operate various types of heavy equipment, especially excavators but also dozer, tractors, loaders, trucks, some heavy haul.
– Use equipment to perform tasks such as digging, building, bulldozing, and transporting materials.
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment.
– Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
– Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient operations.

Skills:
– Proficient in operating excavators while digging on grade and understanding grade and slope.
– Some mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
– Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
– Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
– Attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise operation of equipment.
– Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during operation.

Note: Prior experience operating heavy equipment is required for this position. This position is seasonal/temporary but could possibly turn into a full time position.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $25.00 – $34.00 per hour
