*The Role*

The Cannabis Farm Coordinator is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting cannabis field and post-harvest production through physical farm labor, crew leadership, equipment operation, and accurate documentation. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude, tractor experience, and the ability to lead by example while working alongside the crew. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physically demanding work in outdoor conditions while maintaining accountability for quality, safety, and productivity.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Work closely with the Cannabis Cultivation Manager to execute the annual cultivation and production plan across field and post harvest operations.
* Lead and actively participate in daily farm activities including field preparation, planting, greenhouse construction and maintenance, irrigation setup/repair, general crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
* Operate and maintain farm equipment including tractors, implements, and cultivation tools. Demonstrate strong working knowledge of equipment safety and operation.
* Supervise crews by setting pace and expectations, assigning tasks, ensuring productivity, and holding team members accountable while performing work alongside them.
* Coordinate material and labor needs by estimating required supplies and communicating needs to the Cultivation Manager to ensure operations stay on schedule.
* Ensure all work leaving the department meets quality standards. Inspect completed tasks, sign off on work, and take ownership of department output.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with farm safety standards and company policies.
* Accurately collect, document, and report cultivation data, labor tracking, and operational records to ensure compliance and traceability.
* Train, coach, and motivate staff by communicating job expectations, enforcing SOPs, and supporting onboarding and skill development.
* Support timecard review and corrections; ensure team adherence to schedules and communicate attendance or performance issues to the Cultivation Manager.
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying operational inefficiencies, proposing improvements, and helping develop and refine SOPs.
* Participate in staff performance evaluations, training documentation, and disciplinary processes when needed.

*Qualifications*

* Ability to lift and handle 40–50 lbs regularly and stand for an 8-hour workday
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and hold others accountable
* Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and willingness to stay until work is complete
* Strong mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting and repairing basic farm systems (irrigation, tools, equipment)
* Ability to document work accurately and track materials and production data
* Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quick
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to follow and enforce SOPs
* Cultural competence; comfortable in a bilingual environment, Spanish-speaking skills strongly preferred
* Reliable transportation required
* HS Diploma or equivalent
* 3+ years cannabis experience preferred
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
* Experience with tractors, pallet jacks, forklifts, and driving trucks preferred
