Dairy Chores Job Opening:

Colby Homestead Farms is looking for a chores person to do barn and equipment cleaning tasks, assist the herd manager with routine animal care and handling, and take care of other dairy farm work as needed. Examples include cleaning free stalls, setting up the hoof bath, changing milk pipe filters, and moving cows between pens. The job requires the ability to work independently and to communicate daily with the herd manager. We are willing to train in some areas, but prior farm experience is strongly preferred. Opportunities for other dairy & farming tasks and career advancement are available for a motivated, successful employee.

The farm is located in Spencerport just west of Rochester, NY. We grow vegetables, field crops, and forages, and we milk 275 cows with 5 milking robots. The job is typically 45-50 hours a week. Pay based on experience, housing in an on-farm apartment is available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
