*Job Summary*
We are looking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team. The job will include assisting in various farming operations, including alfalfa and straw harvest, ground tillage, alfalfa and/or timothy planting, operation and general maintenance of farm equipment and vehicles, and the general work required to maintain a farm.
Hours can very from 40 hours, 5 days a week in between harvests, to 80 hours, 6-7 days a week during harvest and planting. The position will begin july 5th and continue through the end of harvest, 4-12 weeks.
Equipment used on the job will include, but not be limited to -swathers, tractors, hay rakes, and balers.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
* Utilize hand tools effectively for various farming tasks like maintenance and repairs.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure all farm operations run smoothly.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in farming or agricultural work is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
* Familiarity with farm machinery and equipment operation is preferred.
* Basic skills in using hand tools and performing minor repairs are desirable.
