**Osborn Construction & Design** is hiring a **Heavy Equipment Operator / Skilled Laborer** to join our growing team. We specialize in the construction of large block retaining walls, seawalls, and specialized concrete sheet piling systems** throughout Central and Eastern Florida.
We’re looking for leaders—people who take ownership of their work, hold themselves to a high standard, and aren’t afraid to work alongside their crew. This is a hands-on position requiring both heavy equipment operation and skilled construction labor.
***Responsibilities***
* Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
* Construct large block retaining walls, seawalls, specialized concrete sheet piling systems and heavy civil construction.
* Perform excavation, grading (including finish grade) and site preparation.
* Set large precast retaining wall blocks with precision.
* Install drainage systems, geogrid, erosion control products, and other structural components.
* Read plans, grade stakes, and elevations.
*Communicate material, equipment, safety, and jobsite needs with supervisors throughout the day to keep projects moving efficiently.
* Perform skilled construction labor as needed to complete projects safely and efficiently.
* Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain a clean, safe job site.
***Qualifications***
* 5 years of Heavy equipment operating experience required.
* Experience in retaining walls, seawalls, heavy civil construction, site development, or marine construction is required.
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail is a must.
* Dependable with excellent attendance.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus).

Pay: $22.00 – $32.00 per hour
