We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our project team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and commercial trucks to support excavation, grading, and site development projects. Your expertise will ensure that construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and equipment upkeep.

*Duties*

* Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and dump trucks, to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks.
* Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all machinery and trucks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
* Utilize utility locating tools and techniques to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation or drilling activities commence.
* Perform construction utility work including trenching, backfilling, and installing underground infrastructure while adhering to federal construction safety regulations.
* Safely operate horizontal drilling equipment for underground utility installation projects.
* Follow all equipment safety procedures and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
* Assist with construction site grading and prepare sites for subsequent phases of development using appropriate machinery.
* Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety inspections in accordance with company policies.

*Experience*

* Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and dump trucks.
* Strong knowledge of construction site operations including excavation, grading, utility installation, and site preparation.
* Familiarity with commercial truck driving regulations and safe driving practices for various types of trucks used in construction settings.
* Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
* Experience performing utility locating using specialized tools and techniques to prevent damage during excavation activities.
* Understanding of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures essential for maintaining a compliant work environment.
* Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in diverse environments while adhering to safety standards.

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
