Ranch – Farm Hand/Laborer

Job Description

*PLEASE READ* this is IMPORTANT: We will NOT consider your application if you DO NOT HAVE SOME ACTUAL EXPERIENCE in FARMING/ORCHARD WORK; avocados are a plus. THIS IS A FARM WORKER POSITION. Please read the JOB Description! We are a working farm of 100 acres of planted trees and you would be working 40 hours a week in the orchard.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Picking Fruit

· Pruning Trees

· Weeding

· Irrigation system maintenance

· Working as a Team member

· Working safely

*Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)*

· Experience working on a farm and working with farm equipment.

· Experience working long hours in all weather conditions.

· Experience lifting heavy object and doing handy jobs.

· Oral communication skills

· Knowledge of growing seasons and what needs to be done at different time of the year.

· Ability to work alone and as a team member.

o Exposure to normal ranch noise and fertilizers

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
